Who Leads Grace Crossing Church?

First and foremost, God leads our church. That may sound like a spiritual answer, but this simple philosophy guides everything we do here at GCC. In essence, our responsibility is to seek God, to see where He is leading, to follow Him, and to bring others along in that vision.

The Team Model

One thing we’ve learned about church in our few years together is that ministry is not a meant to be done alone. From our executive board to our staff to our host of directors, coordinators and volunteers, GCC is served by teams. This provides stronger leadership through stability, complementary strengths and weaknesses, decisions made with a broader perspective, and greater accountability. For us here at GCC, there is really no other way to do church…and life for that matter!

Every Person A Minister

Although governed by a ministry staff, these people are not really the “ministers” of GCC. The Bible teaches that every Christ-follower is a “minister” and has a strategic role in God’s Kingdom. Each believer is uniquely engineered and equipped for the special work that God created them to do (Ephesians 4:11-12).

From our early days, we’ve been a church led largely by people just like you…ordinary people taking their place as a minister of Jesus Christ. In fact, if you’ve been to a weekend service or any GCC gathering, you were virtually surrounded by ministers – greeters, ushers, children’s workers, tech workers, etc. The primary task of our staff is to inspire, coach, and mobilize volunteer “ministers” (i.e. serving teams). We invite you to find your place here at GCC and to step into the unique role for which God has created you!
