Bio

Gil is a community-minded pastor with a desire to serve the unchurched, dechurched, and spiritually disenfranchised. He is a passionate communicator dedicated to teaching the Bible using accessible language for a 21st century audience. Gil enjoys doing mission work and has conducted church leadership development in seven nations of the world. Gil and his wife of 27 years, Keli, have three children, all graduates of Beavercreek High School. Gil and Keli enjoy motorcycle rides (in tandem), hiking, building relationships, and playing Pinochle and PA Dutch Euchre (hausepepper).

What brought you to GCC?
My entrepreneurial personality…guess I like a good challenge!

What is one thing that you love about GCC?
Wow, that’s a tough question, but I’d have to say the way our church values and embraces change. Makes me smile!

What is the best part about your role at GCC?
I get to engineer the vision and shape the church culture. Oh, and being the primary communicator isn’t so bad either!

What is your favorite place on planet earth?
That would have to be Saint Lucia. Or Banff, Alberta Canada. Worlds apart, but both spectacular in their own way.

What is your favorite quote?
“Never put a period where God puts a comma.” Not sure who said it, but I live by it!

What do you consider the greatest invention of the last 100 years?
The iPhone, of course!
